Aston Carter Materials Planner in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania
Actalent is hiring for a Materials Planner. Apply today! We are seeking a Materials Planner for a recognized, national manufacturing organization in Shippensburg, PA.
Responsible for inbound logistics related to production parts, ensuring timely delivery at low costs, and optimizing transportation costs.
Manage material master parameters in the ERP system and maintain optimum inventory levels.
Key duties include:
reviewing and releasing Purchase Orders/Schedule Agreements
overseeing rework and Non-Conforming Material
setting safety days, stock levels
reorder points through analysis
monitoring inventory accuracy.
You will also implement actions to secure higher supplier delivery precision, review planning reports, analyze information, and update plans to meet demands.
Additional responsibilities include: maintaining procurement methods for parts used in production, expediting critical orders, working with various departments to eliminate supply interruptions, and supporting investigations related to Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, or print errors.
You will develop and implement inventory and lead-time reduction plans and participate in system enhancements or process updates.
Skills Needed
2+ years of Materials Planning/Coordinating experience
SAP experience
Strong analytical skills

Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring Monday - Wednesday in-office (Thursday and Friday, remote). Flexible shift times, but most common is 6 AM - 2:30 PM (with start times between 6 AM - 7 AM).
