Job Title: Electrician
Job Description
The Electrician safely performs troubleshooting, maintenance, tests, repairs, and electrical installations in large commercial settings.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on-site.
Conduct electrical installations of a commercial nature.
Plan layout and installation of electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
Install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures, or wiring in floors, walls, and ceilings.
Inspect and test electrical systems.
Perform installations including panel boards, conduits, lay-in fixtures, wall packs, exit signs, light fixtures, disconnects, breakers, power distribution equipment, and power supply wiring.
Refer to labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions to perform duties accurately and in conformance to safety and security standards.
Report work orders, scheduled jobs, and work progress to a foreperson.
Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components.
Fill in for other trades when needed.
Essential Skills
Proficient in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with industrial installations.
Knowledge of high voltage systems.
Skilled in conduit bending and pulling wire.
Familiar with lighting and mechanical systems.
Proficient in using hand tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in construction environments.

Work Environment
You will work onsite every day at the same location inside a large industrial manufacturing building. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
