Job Title: Maintenance Technician III

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician III will primarily perform maintenance on a new blasting machine, ensuring the efficient operation of production and processing equipment as well as utility-related equipment. This role involves adhering to all safety procedures while supporting equipment installation, troubleshooting, and training machine operators to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment, following all safety procedures.

  • Support the installation of new equipment and assist machine operators with training or troubleshooting.

  • Document all repairs accurately.

  • Maintain and repair buildings' plumbing, HVAC, air compressors, boilers, fire systems, and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses.

  • Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous waste and lock out/tag out programs.

  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

  • Work on machines and equipment such as pipe benders, lasers, welding machines, forklifts, paint booths, blasters, conveyors, and CNC machinery.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in any industry.

  • Mechanical experience with belts, gears, bearings, motors, VFD, and sensors.

  • Experience in basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with variable climate conditions.

  • Experience in welding, cutting, or fabrication.

  • Knowledge of PLCs and CNC maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical-Mechanical or Industrial Mechanics.

  • Knowledge of CMMS and Microsoft Office.

  • Good tenure and stability in previous roles.

  • Oilfield experience is acceptable.

Work Environment

This position offers various shift options, including 1st and 3rd shifts as well as weekend shifts. Enjoy shift differentials with an additional $1.00/hr for night shifts and $2.50/hr for weekend shifts. The workplace features a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to variable climate conditions. Note: The plant will be relocating to Schertz, TX, in the near future, with plans being finalized this year.

This is a Permanent position based out of Shiner, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $58240.00/yr.
