ASRC Federal Gulf States Constructors is seeking a Engineering Technician IV in support of our Sheppard AFB Base Operations Support Contract Located in Wichita Falls, TX.

Overview:

Responsible for inspecting projects assigned for conformity to construction specifications, drawings and related documents. Reviews contractor construction schedules, submittals, and other construction documents for conformance to contract requirements. Works closely with Project Manager to resolve issues that arise during construction. Works closely with all departments to ensure compliance with all aspects of assigned construction projects including but not limited to flightline, safety, and environmental requirements. Monitors construction progress, discusses issues with contractors, reports discrepancies to the appropriate agencies, determines weekly completion percentages, and prepares weekly progress reports. Processes disposition of projects as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Inspection of work in progress to ensure conformance with contract documents.

• Review and process submittals and other correspondences, assess contractor progress, and prepare weekly progress reports.

• Identify and assist in resolution of construction problems and issues. Assist Project Managers with constructability issues and assist in identifying potential solutions.

• Prepare, maintain, and submit inspection files and records.

• Develop and present reports and briefings to include construction specific site meetings.

• Review plans and specifications for clarity, completeness, and ability to construct in accordance with applicable codes and standards.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the customer.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid state driver’s license

• Possess or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire Certified Flight Line Driver’s License

• Two (2) years experience inspecting construction projects or five (5) years as craftsman involved in construction work

• Computer experience to include demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

• Must be a US or Permanent Citizen due to contract requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Flight line driving experience

• Air Force of DoD experience
