Job Overview

The Associate Project Manager is responsible to assist with the overall datacom product team, work with the product management on marketing, sales and product lines plans to meet AOP financial objectives. Help with Identifying product extensions, changes and improvements for existing products, provide assistance with innovation, definitions, development and introduction of new product launches. This position will interface with all disciplines within the organization. The individual must be highly analytical, organized, tactically oriented and have excellent communication and have independent multitasking skills.

A Day In The Life

  • Provide assistance to all of Datacom product management across Premise Wiring, AccelTex and vertical focus.

  • Cross training throughout all Datacom product lines, support field and tech support with applications and specifications.

  • Assist product management, engineering, operations and HEM with NPD, NPX and PMR’s to drive sales and market share.

  • Support the team launch and marketing plans, product development, program management, capacity forecasts and financial analytics.

  • Acts as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for level 2 inquires after tech support and education for all stake holders including field sales, channel partners and customers.

  • Maintains close working relationships with all levels of sales and customers to identify new opportunities to grow Datacom sales.

  • Develop marketing unboxing and installation videos with Hubbell Enterprise Marketing for the Datacom division.

  • Work with product management to develop and BI sales, product mix and field reports.

  • Understand market conditions, pricing levels, competition to propose feedback to product mix, merging technology and specified markets.

  • Develop a Datacom monthly newsletter, internal and external, for product launches new technology, training, merging applications and sales strategy.

  • Works with the team to assist in marketing activities such as: trade shows, website updates, PIM data, literature, case studies, videos and sales components.

  • Work with team to help with the vertical sales integration across different BU’s and product solutions.

  • Ability to learn about assigned technology areas to understand and communicate program needs.

  • Establishes effective communication channels and working relationships at all levels to provide pertinent, timely and accurate information and ensure effective product line performance.

  • Has experience in making presentations to all levels successfully communicating technology, complex applications and business cases

  • Supports sales efforts by participating in training events, trade shows, market development, customer presentations, ACE community visits, distribution and industry association committees.

  • Actively participate in Datacom planning, use forecasts as the basis for developing demand, inventory and production plans.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • 4 Year Degree, Preferred in Business, Marketing Engineering or IT

  • 2+ years Data Communications industry experience, required

  • Technical product aptitude

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, BI
