Wayfair Supplier Acquisition Manager in Shanghai, China
We’re seeking a highly analytical, passionate, and self-motivated team manager to join our Wayfair Global selling team. We are a nimble, fast-paced, ambitious team and drive real-time, material impact on the business. You must have an interest in innovating to solve business problems creatively and a willingness to hit the ground running.
For this role, we are seeking a problem-solving, entrepreneurial team manager to manage the supplier acquisition and business partnership development for our Asia-based Supplier program. In this role, you’ll work with external partners, our suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams to set up and onboard suppliers onto Wayfair. You will lead the vertical supplier acquisition process, from identifying the lead to negotiating supplier partnership contracts. You will be working closely with stakeholders of the Wayfair global selling team to influence and execute the strategy for the program overall.
What You'll Do
Lead a vertical acquisition team on Wayfair
Managing relationships with our external partners who provide supplier leads and resources
Build up yearly marketing plans to strengthen the lead generation and enhance the local network.
Communicating with target suppliers as needed throughout the setup process
Problem solves challenges or trends as they arise
Report on progress of the Acquisition team, including successes and learnings
Work with cross-functional teams to drive a better supplier experience
Set up the strategy and executive planning for the Asia-based Supplier Acquisition team
Drive the solution based on suppliers’ requirements and lead multi programs.
What You'll Need
8 years out of undergrad with relevant work or experience (strong preference for experience within an e-commerce organization), along with at least 5 years team management experience
Experience in managing a team of 3 or more people.
Fluency in English both written and verbal
Ability to communicate and feel comfortable speaking directly with owners and executives of large companies
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
Collaborative by nature; ability to build relationships and buy-in to drive change effectively in a positive manner
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
An analytical thinker who looks for and finds answers in the data
Ability to “hit the ground running” – a self-starter capable of achieving specific targets
An entrepreneurial spirit and mindset
Experience in SQL and advanced Excel capabilities is a plus, but not required
