General Motors Lead HMI Systems Engineer - L2++ in Shanghai, China

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of the HMI system development and roll-out plan for AD/ADAS.

  • Lead the end-to-end development of HMI system providing the following (and not limited to) deliverables: Requirements, system design, system behavioral diagrams, system models, FMEA, use cases, etc.

  • Provide regular key updates to the leadership to ensure synchronization and smooth flow of information.

  • Lead other system engineers by providing direction in all aspects of systems and capability development.

  • Provide technical leadership for advancing new technology development.

  • Become the technical Subject Matter Expert and single-point-of-contact for all things related to AD/ADAS/Parking HMI

  • Develop talent and expertise within the HMI systems team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience with at least 3+ years of developing HMI for AD/ADAS or other automotive applications.

  • Proven experience to lead multi-functional teams across domains.

  • Deep knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and a proven track record of successful implementation.

  • Experience in automotive product release and specification process.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software and hardware requirements and interfaces.

  • Understanding of major automotive vehicle systems such as AD/ADAS systems, chassis and vehicle dynamics, automotive networks, propulsion, body controls, infotainment (HMI) etc.

  • High level of oral and written communication skills.

  • Travel to engineering sites and supplier offices as required.
