Role Summary/Purpose
The Global Supply Chain Sustainability Leader plays a critical role in achieving GE Vernova's climate targets and aligning the Grid Solutions with these goals. The role is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive Sourcing Sustainability roadmap, driving strategic sourcing sustainability initiatives to support the growth strategy of GE Vernova Grid Solutions.
The role will have a direct impact by developing and implementing the overall supplier sustainability engagement strategy, with a specific focus on Environmental and Responsible Sourcing. The role will lead cost-effective decarbonization efforts across the supply chain within the Grid Solutions and demonstrate performance improvements, including taking corrective actions for low-scoring sustainability suppliers: focus on Scope 3 upstream improvements, including GHG reporting, suppliers' renewable energy usage, energy efficiency, waste management, and sustainable procurement, to drive continuous advancements in supply chain sustainability. The primary goal is to consistently improve the average YoY Sustainability score of top suppliers, surpassing the industry standards and setting new benchmarks for sustainability performance.
