Washington State Job Bank Maintenance Parts Attendant - Selah Plant in Selah, Washington
SUMMARY: Responsible for receiving goods and services such as production supplies, equipment and maintenance materials; Overseeing the flow of materials to-and-from inventory locations, ensuring on-hand values reflect physical inventory, Serve as a customer service representative for the Maintenance Department and the plant, and function in a support/backup capacity for the Safety & Environmental Supervisor. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to twelve months position related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Must complete a forklift safety training course. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to complete paperwork and do inventories, distance vision to drive and move through the plant, color vision to recognize color coded paperwork and other items, peripheral vision to drive and walk through the plant, depth perception to drive and stock inventory, and the ability to adjust focus to drive and ensure the safety of others.
