Amazon SSD Academy Instructor, SSD Academy Instructor in Seffner, Florida
Description
As an SSD Academy Instructor, your primary responsibility is to onboard and develop Operations leaders so they learn what adherence to standard work looks like and how to implement to be successful in their station roles. You will be responsible for up to 15 trainees per cohort that are operating in one of our learning nodes. This includes facilitating hands-on training, managing weekly cadences surrounding trainings, evaluations, and Academy standard work. Training includes leadership, cultural, and operations processes and requires deep operations and leadership knowledge. You will be organized and methodical in your approach, adept at analyzing data, diving deep to identify trends and problem solve to mitigate long-term risk and finding the path forward in difficult situations. You will dive deep and think big while measuring success to influence, iterate and constantly improve program design. This includes working strategically and tactical where to simplify or extend solutions for the best outcome.
You will be comfortable working independently, using knowledge and skill to seek out guidance and feedback from hiring manager and PXT stakeholders with learners enrolled in the Academy program; identifying when to proactively escalate as needed.
In addition to in-class facilitation, your role will be integral to building the continuous partnership between Operations leaders and SSD Academy. This will be completed through engaging with on-site operations while on site to identify barriers to performance through learning,
You will also train to become proficient in all SSD Operations process paths to effectively teach the content in all Operations roles. You may be responsible for organizing business reviews, creating high-level action plans, and executing to them.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of employee and performance management experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
1+ years of experience within Sub-Same Day
