Our Technology Sourcing and Infrastructure (TSI) Team is looking for a results-driven individual to take on logistics projects that will push Amazon to improve our supply chain processes, implement vendor partnerships, and drive efficiencies in transportation/logistics for IT hardware. Our team is responsible for enabling global supply chain availability and driving strategies that ultimately improve the supply chain for both Amazon and our partner vendors. Key leadership traits required include the ability to form strong partnerships with business leaders and their teams to define requirements, identify transportation & logistics suppliers, and negotiate advantageous pricing, terms and performance for Amazon. This is an individual contributor role that must also coordinate with various internal stakeholders in all regions to create and leverage sourcing strategies, savings and performance standards, globally.
This is a high impact role and is responsible to drive cost-out, mitigate risk and manage key supply chain projects. The position primarily supports Amazon IT Services (ITS). You will leverage your work experience to improve logistics by leveraging reliable and efficient shipping vendors. Additionally, you will tackle transformative projects that will drive cost-out of the organization, leverage Amazon’s scale and capabilities, as well as identify and mitigate program risks. You will share frequent progress reports on initiatives with Senior Leaders. You will lead negotiations with logistics partners, manage RFx's, quarterly/monthly vendor business reviews. You are required to scrutinize supplier pricing structure, quotes and resolve anomalies. Manage day to day supplier operational challenges, meet project deadlines and effectively support ITS requirements.
The candidate should possess strong negotiation and influencing skills, analytical skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations, and strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
5+ years of supply chain experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
