How you'll make an impact: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Software Engineer - Embedded Linux to join our team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing the base drivers and middleware required to support various SiriusXM 360L application implementation for automotive customers. The SiriusXM 360L application is a cutting-edge entertainment platform that delivers a personalized and immersive listening experience on Linux-powered automotive infotainment systems. Together, we will revolutionize the way automotive customers enjoy their audio content on the go. What you'll do: Design and develop advanced features and system functionality for the SiriusXM 360L Automotive application for Linux-based OS, focusing on performance, reliability, and user experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality software and firmware solutions. Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and promote knowledge sharing within the team. Develop, test, and maintain Automotive SXM support systems including FFmpeg, GStreamer, and other audio support items. Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between the front-end and back-end systems. Debug and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring timely delivery of robust and high-performing applications. Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
