The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for developing frameworks, tools, and governance mechanisms to optimize Prime’s global monetization strategy to deliver sustainable growth while deliver an unparalleled Prime member experience. Hence, it requires high judgment to drive right outcomes for members and the business. This role will enable decision making at the most senior levels of Amazon, and will require frequent interaction with global and regional senior leaders.

The ideal candidate for this role has a strong track record in strategic consulting and/or pricing or monetization optimization; You can bring structure to ambiguity and uncertainty. You are also customer obsessed and are apt to bring the customer perspective to the evaluation of future strategic growth and sustainability of the Prime membership. You are also an excellent written and oral communicator who can articulate complicated topics in simple language and influence a diverse group of senior leader stakeholders. Finally, you are comfortable with analyzing complex economic frameworks, and leading quantitative and qualitative research.

Key job responsibilities

• Establish, evangelize and continuously audit Prime’s global monetization framework

• Develop tools and mechanisms to scale pricing and monetization decisions

• Engage with multiple Amazon business teams to drive monetization decisions.

• Understand customer and business trends to optimize and recommend new pricing and monetization frameworks.

• Build and maintain healthy relationships with partners and stakeholders in locations around the world.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience leading decision making processes with a variety of executive-level stakeholders

  • Ability to communicate complex econometric topics clearly through written and oral medium

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years of strategic consulting, product management and/or monetization/pricing experience

  • Experience with pricing of consumer subscription services in multiple countries

  • Proven track record of leading cross-organizational, cross-functional technical product development and holding teams/individuals to timelines/agreed on deliverables without direct reporting authority

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
