Undiscovered Small Business Accelerator helps drive the success of small and historically underrepresented business populations (including minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses).

Our team is creating programs to provide business owners with access to education, Amazon experts, and industry thought leaders, in addition to benefits, tools and resources to help accelerate business growth. We are seeking a high-judgment, results-oriented, and creative leader to lead education strategy and development for small and underrepresented businesses.

This role will have a high-degree of ownership in developing the approach to education modalities, instructional design, topics, measurement, and continuous improvement. The solutions this person will own will guide small and underrepresented businesses through their journey selling with Amazon. This includes performing needs assessments to identify learning objectives, designing, developing, testing, and evaluating instructional content in partnership with internal stakeholders and external partners. You will work closely with learning experience designers, trainers, and subject matter experts to quickly identify and create content.

The ideal candidate has a passion for supporting small business owners, and an instructional content development background combined with a solid understanding of the end-to-end design and development of multiple learning programs and products. They are customer obsessed, leveraging insights and data to work backwards and think from a customer perspective. They are an experienced program manager, manager, and creative problem solver who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy, ambiguous environment. They exhibit professional discernment, ability to earn trust, and influence cross-functional teams. This opportunity requires excellent program management, prioritization, and communication skills, as well as the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities

• Think Big about learning programs that scale with clear performance and success metrics.

• Manage a team of managers, program management

• Lead the development of standardized learning processes, procedures, and templates.

• Lead the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning modules.

• Create quality standards and continuous improvement methodology for instructional trainers.

• Identify subject matter expertise and partnerships needed to inform content and impart curriculum credibility.

• Anticipate bottlenecks, anticipate and make tradeoffs, identify gaps and invent solutions.

• Continuously measure solution effectiveness and scalability of delivery modalities.

• Track and report on curriculum.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

  • 7+ years of professional or military experience

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing teams

  • Bachelors Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience engaging and presenting to senior executives (CXO level).

  • Experience working with emerging technologies

  • MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
