Do you have a passion for B2B contracts and driving innovation to transform this growing part of Amazon Business? Are you an expert in solving customer problems, identifying new opportunities and building long-term strategies that excite and drive change for established and new customers? The Amazon Business Contracts team is seeking a talented and highly motivated Sr. Business Contracts Manager to work on the Managed Spend & Solutions team supporting our Federal Business. The position has a strong focus on pre and post-award contract management. Responsibilities will include: maintaining contractual opportunities; assisting in the formulation of contract policies; identifying compliance and procurement challenges with an emphasis on public sector regulations; creating procedures, methods, and operating practices; guiding partner teams through the contracting process; and developing performance standards for these contracts.

This position requires the candidate to have: an eye for detail; exemplary follow through skills; an ability to identify and drive global process improvements; a willingness to coordinate between sales, operations, and legal, and other stakeholder teams; and excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.

Key job responsibilities

· Participate in and oversee review of all customer contractual and purchase documents

· Coordinate legal activities for contract/agreement negotiation and support the competitive bid process in reviewing RFX and enabling contract compliance

· Complete SOP playbook to facilitate overall management of each signed contract

· Review each proposed RFx to identify risks and access compliance capabilities; advise on contracting issues and approaches with respect to federal terms and conditions as well as FAR/acquisition policy and regulations

· Lead all contract implementation activities including notifying compliance stakeholders and facilitating reporting requirements and fee payments

· Develop and launch Go-To-Market plan for each contract to educate the sales team and leverage the contract as a selling vehicle

· Facilitate external contract partner meetings; lead communication with customer contracting officials

· Maintain contract records/files and manage, track, and insure adherence to all contractual obligations

· Develop and implement tools and processes in contracting operations to increase efficiency and sales productivity

· Establish internal reporting on contract performance; work with partner teams to create tools and mechanisms to track contract performance

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
