Job title: Software Engineer (G1366)
Job Description: Working independently, design & develop software applications or systems. Design, develop, and maintain features for Splunk search infrastructure. Build robust, fault-tolerant distributed systems in a multi-threaded/multi-process environment. Analyze and improve the scalability of data collection, routing, storage, and retrieval. Define and perform various search language layer optimizations/transformations. Work on backend systems including storage, filesystem, memory, and multithreading. Develop and debug code. Design and implement distributed systems.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical degree.
- Experience: 3 years of software development experience.
- Education or experience to include: C++ or Java or Python; Backend systems, storage, filesystem, memory, and multithreading; Query language and processing: SQL or SPL; Unix, Linux; Data structures and algorithms
