Seattle Children’s Hospital Social Worker I - Ambulatory in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities Provide clinical social work services to children with acute and chronic illness, their families, the staff of Seattle Children's Hospital and the community in a managed care environment. Assist in promotion of culturally appropriate family-centered care and wellness of patients and families by identifying, interpreting, and reducing psychosocial factors contributing to illness. Counsel and aid patients and their families to understand and accept medical recommendations and options. Assess and assist with non-medical problems interfering with effective patient care. Interview, coordinate, and plan programs and activities to meet the social and emotional needs of patients and/or patients' family. Provide crisis intervention and assist families in understanding the implications and complexities of the medical situation and its impact on lifestyle. Individuals assigned to Dialysis and Organ Transplant programs must be able to demonstrate competencies for Medicare regulations as related to End-State Renal Disease (ESRD) and Transplant Conditions of Participation. This Social Worker role is posted at the Social Worker I level. We have a Social Worker II posting that covers the same opening, job #2023-51695. Only one opening will be filled. #LI-JR1 Job Posting Addendum This position is slated to cover multiple ambulatory clinics to include Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Pain Clinic, and Rheumatology. May be potential for one remote day per week depending on team coverage. Requirements Required Education/Experience: - Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Counsel on Social Work Education.- Ability and flexibility to work evening, night, weekend shifts, and holidays as well as provide on-call coverage.Required Credentials: - Currently Licensed in Washington State as a Licensed Social Work Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC).Preferred: - Current clinical social work experience in acute healthcare settings.- Current clinical social work experience in working with children and families in acute care settings and dealing with all aspects of care including but not limited to crisis intervention, protective services, and mental health.- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with multicultural/diverse patients.- Multidisciplinary team experience.- Multilingual. Min to Max Hourly Salary$36.75 - $55.12 /hrMin to Max Annual Salary$76,431.00 - $114,647.00 /yrSalary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided. The union pay ranges can be found on the Seattle Children's website here: - Seattle Children's offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
