Washington State Job Bank Service Manager (Machine Shop) in Seattle, Washington

We are looking for an experienced leader to join the team as service manager for a machine shop in the heart of south Seattle!

Description:

  • Supervise, issuing work assignments; maintain safety standards and providing training where necessary.
  • Must have Machine Shop or service role experience.
  • Monitors and facilitates repair projects
  • Able to read mechanical drawings
  • Enforce Safety First throughout the department!
  • Schedule according to workload throughout department.
  • Ensure proper paperwork for set-up and operation of machines on a daily basis.
  • Analyze operational issues
  • Responsible for meeting Quality requirements of Yields, Efficiencies, and Throughout for reporting department.
  • Prepare and maintain internal metrics.
  • Ensures production programs are running at optimum performance.
  • Make recommendations to improve production methods, performance, equipment and quality of product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Job Purpose:Maintains communication service by identifying and resolving cable problems.Duties: * Determines source of problems by analyzing trouble reports; running tests. * Clears problems by repairing cables and drops. * Keeps customers informed by explaining maintenance and repairs underway. * Maintains cables by testing and repairing bad pairs; replacing bad sections. * Upgrades service by maintaining terminals and pedestals; repairing or replacing enclosures; reworking splices; checking bonds and grounds. * Maintains safe and secure work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. * Accomplishes cable service and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Audiovisual Maintenance, Electronic Systems, Electronics Troubleshooting, Telecommunications Technologies, Telecommunications Knowledge, Technical Understanding, Safety Management, Informing Others, Problem Solving, Electronic Production Technologies, Electronic Testing Design
