Amazon Senior UX Designer, AWS Systems Manager in Seattle, Washington

Description

Systems Manager is the operations hub that AWS customers use to manage their resources on AWS and in multicloud and hybrid environments. We are looking for a Senior UX Designer who leads by doing and is comfortable designing at all stages of the product lifecycle. In this role, you will own the end to end UX process, from discovery to delivery for a set of capabilities. You will have an opportunity to collaborate with a team of researchers, product managers, software development engineers and design technologists. If you are a candidate who is passionate about user experience, and likes to work with a team of like minded people, this may be the role for you.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead UX design for at least one product/ area.

• Follow a user centered design process

• Lead design reviews

• This role requires fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, user experience principles and techniques.

• This role requires excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Arlington, VA, USA | East Palo Alto, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design experience

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of design experience

  • Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
