Blue Origin LLC Senior Systems Engineer, Verification and Validation (R40865) in Seattle, Washington

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of engineers and designers, you will work as a Senior Systems Engineer focused on Verification, Validation, and Certification for the lunar lander system. You will be responsible for ensuring flight readiness of the vehicle and coordinating flight certification efforts across Systems Engineering, IPT teams, and other stakeholders. Your passion, expertise, and skills will impact the integration and verification of the spacecraft and mission success. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Define verification and validation strategies and schedules to ensure flight readiness Coordinate verification, validation, and certification work products across stakeholders Develop system-level verification and validation activity definition Lead integrated vehicle test and analysis activities, including planning, execution, reporting, and review Define interface verification plans and processes Utilize good engineering and business judgement to ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered to satisfy mission objectives Collaborate across Lunar Systems Engineers to develop best practices and find opportunities for common processes across projects Embody, promote, and coach the Blue Origin leadership principles Minimum Qualifications Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space! B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or related field 8+ years of Systems Engineering experience performing activities such as requirements definition, traceability, interface definition, functional decomposition, integration, verification, and validation Detailed knowledge of space systems design and requirements Experience working on a verification program for a complex spaceflight or aviation system Ability to lead and coordinate verification, validation, and certification products across stakeholders and experts from varying engineering fields to produce VV&C products Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate technical information effectively Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Preferred Qualifications Experience performing and participating in technical reviews for a complex spaceflight or aviation system Experience with certification processes for flight readiness of a new system Experience with requirements and V&V tracking tools Experience with modeling and simulation certification Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $146,644.50---$205,302.30 USD Inclusivity Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
