Robert Half Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in Seattle, Washington
Description
Robert Half Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Quality Assurance, particularly in the areas of data migration and data validation. This is a 2-month contract position with the possibility of extension, where you will be working closely with our development team to ensure the highest standards of quality are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on QA testing across all phases of the product lifecycle.
Participate in Workday integration testing, ensuring smooth and accurate integration processes.
Work with data migration processes, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
Validate data by running SQL scripts and testing data that comes through the ETL processes.
Develop and load test data using SQL queries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Day-to-Day Activities:
Engage in data migration tasks, ensuring the smooth transition and accuracy of data.
Conduct thorough data validation using SQL scripts.
Test data integrity and accuracy as it moves through ETL data processes.
Support Workday integration testing, although prior Workday experience is not required (nice-to-have).
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related experience.
At least 3 years of senior-level experience in a related role.
Extensive hands-on QA testing experience throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Proficiency in T-SQL (MS SQL) scripting.
Proven ability to write SQL queries for developing and loading test data.
Strong understanding of data migration and data validation - MUST HAVE.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Experience with Workday integration testing is a plus.
