This role will be responsible for ideating and operationalizing deployment, position and routines guidance as well as supporting teams and platforms within Store Operations. You will contribute to the development and implementation of projects and programs that deliver the best-in-class partner experience, support identifying opportunities to continuously improve functionality and operational efficiency of retail stores. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities to reduce operational complexity and optimize performance in support of Starbucks partners, customers, and business.

As a senior operations consultation manager on the Store Operations Deployment, Positions & Routines team, you will…

  • Fully manage programs or projects to scope work, identify stakeholders, assess complexity, and understand the impact of each retail store role.

  • Provide operational and deployment expertise for ideating and implementing programs that elevate the customer and partner experience.

  • Develop and test programs and projects with effective change management and sustainment strategies that can be integrated into existing Deployment tools, resources and processes.

  • Support implementation and create sustainment strategies for multiple projects to ensure quality, prioritization, and operational feasibility before rollout.

  • Establish clear processes, tactics, and timelines for assigned projects to deliver solutions to our retail partners.

  • Organize information and deliverables to support cross-functional teams, retail operations and workstreams.

  • Seek to understand the impact of a program on all business units and all retail operations roles, including core training.

  • Confidently present strategies and recommendations to operations and cross-functional leadership.

  • Develop field communications and engagement strategies for retail stagging, so partners have the inspiration and knowledge to execute plans.

  • Support the organization in achieving top priorities and remove obstacles that are barriers to the Starbucks Experience.

  • Measure success as a balance between supporting stakeholders to achieve goals and the impact on customers and partners.

  • Ensure all teams working on programs or projects understand and work toward accomplishing vision and goals.

  • Remain current on trends in the industry and performance of the business to consistently link work back to driving responsible outcomes.

  • Spends time in the field to keep current on retail operations and maintain connections with partners and customers.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Starbucks district manager experience (3 years) or 6 years of progressively responsible and equivalent experience including 3 years of retail operations multi-unit management and 3 years of implementation and/or project management in a retail or restaurant environment.

  • Strong foundational skills including verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in using and integrating data and information across many platforms.

  • Partners with experience of leading a portfolio of work or portfolio of stores.

  • Partners with experience of working with cross functional teams and influencing at varying levels of the organization.

  • Experience in influencing without authority with focus on LEAN and Deployment principles.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
