The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking a Senior Account Executive - Fire Protection to join our team as a member of our growing Fire Protection division. As a Senior Account Executive, you will acquire new customers and nurture relationships with existing customers. You will manage complex and challenging accounts and customers with a focus on business development and strategic account targeting.

You're great at:

Account Management/Sales

  • Contact current and potential clients to gain opportunities to secure contracts.

  • Employe strategic account targeting.

  • Maintains an account knowledge base for selling Maintenance Agreements.

  • Nurture existing customer base.

Communication

  • Foster clear communication between the customers and the department support team.

  • Communicates effectively with the Owners, Property Managers, Subcontractors, etc.

  • Communicates the necessary information to the Field. (Scope, labor, materials, client info, etc)

Other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed at McKinstry:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience with Fire Protection systems

  • Ability to interpret and read construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals and estimates

  • Four (4) years of experience leading and closing sales required; experience within the construction industry highly desired

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of conceptual estimating (preferred)

  • Washington State ITT, Nicet Level I or II or greater in Inspections, testing and maintenance (preferred)

The pay range for this position is $93,600-$163,400 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
