ABOUT YOU As an Accountant, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask seamlessly. The successful individual will be a team player with a "can do" attitude who is flexible and can set priorities according to changing needs. Experience and knowledge needed to be successful in this position:

  • BS degree in accounting, finance or business. CPA preferred.
  • 3 plus years of experience preferably in the biotech area or manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Acumatica a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting requirements for government contracts and grants a plus.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take the initiative in resolving questions and problems that arise.

Job duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of budgets and budget justifications in response to Requests for Proposals (RFP).
  • Manage government contracts and grants to ensure budgets are followed and billed in accordance with government regulations.
  • Experience with analyzing indirect costs.
  • Perform cost accounting for products and provide input to sales price
  • Manage royalty payments and license agreements.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
  • Recording financial transactions accurately by preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Manage payroll and preparation of payroll taxes.
  • Assisting with capital assets and maintaining accurate and organized financial records.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Staying updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards.
  • Experience with month-end close process.

Wage/Benefits information Position Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 (annual gross). Starting wage will depend upon relevant experience and qualifications of selected candidate.
