You can G.R.O.W. with Us by becoming our Safety Coordinator THE ROLE Under limited supervision, supports a range of activities for and provides administrative assistance to the Safety Department. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Makes and maintains Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) in compliance with the Department of Transportation and company requirements. Coordinates drug screen process (new hire, random, etc.). Coordinates response and tracks workers' compensation claims. Prepares records pertaining to safety activities such as accidents/incidents, workers' compensation, OSHA, etc. Monitors inventory of personal protective equipment and safety supply levels; prepares purchase orders for approval. Coordinates safety trainings. Prepares correspondence and reports. Assists or backs up other clerical positions as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is: Five years progressively responsible administrative support experience, including experience in a safety department. High School Diploma or GED. Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications. Bachelor's degree preferred. Valid driver's license.
