Amazon Quality Assurance Manager, Amazon Ads in Seattle, Washington

Description

Are you looking to join a team that is among the fastest-growing organizations at Amazon? Does wearing multiple hats and working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment sound like a good fit? Then consider joining Amazon Ads.

Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of e-commerce and advertising, offering a range of digital advertising solutions with the goal of helping customers discover and shop for anything they want to buy. The Amazon Advertising business is growing at a fast pace, and this team's mission is to apply technology to accelerate that growth through best-in-class software engineering, data engineering, and business intelligence.

Within Amazon's advertising ecosystem, the QA team serves as the cornerstone of quality assurance, overseeing testing for all initiatives that impact the advertiser experience or involve significant re-architecture of the ad stack. We conduct comprehensive testing of Tier 1 launches—our most critical deployments that directly affect revenue and customer experience. Through automated solutions and custom-built tools, we empower developers to conduct thorough testing while enhancing their productivity and resolving complex testing challenges. Our commitment to quality extends to evangelizing best practices and implementing robust tracking mechanisms to measure and improve our testing effectiveness.

We are hiring an experienced, results-oriented Quality Assurance Manager who is capable of translating high-level, ambiguous business goals into working software solutions.

As a Quality Assurance Manager III, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day QA operations including testing, reporting, escalation, and issue resolution, through establishment of processes and mechanisms to push quality upstream and find issues sooner or avoid them entirely. You will provide clarity on QA ownership areas, the scopes of responsibility, and enable your team's growth through coaching, feedback, and setting development goals. You will lead tech designs for test automation, tooling, and frameworks and influence teams across organizations in their testing strategies. A QAM-III should be able to leverage their existing SME experience in the area to have an in-depth understanding of how to apply best practices in methodology from the beginning of the QA cycle to the end, accomplishing this through close partnership with development teams. If you are interested in joining Amazon Advertising and enabling Advertising to reach its peak potential, we look forward to connecting with you.
