Providence St. Joseph Health Medical Physicist in Seattle, Washington

Description The Medical Physicist provides a high standard of clinical physics services through special competence in the field of clinical medical physics. Required qualifications: Master's Degree Level 1: Masters in Medical Physics with minimum of 5 years experience in medical physics. Or Ph.D. Level 1: PhD in Medical Physics; PhD in Physics with at least 6 months clinical experience in Medical Physics Coursework/Training: Level 2: Same as Level 1 plus board certification in therapeutic physics from the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Board of Medical Physicists (ABMP). Upon hire: National Medical Physics - Therapeutic Certification - American Board of Radiology Experience with acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration and quality assurance of radiotherapy equipment, including medical linear accelerators. Demonstrated experience in radiotherapy treatment planning and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). 1 year Research experience, including six months with advanced targeted radiotherapy techniques.
