Expedia, Inc. has an opening for Manager, Program Management in Seattle, Washington. Job Duties: Drive the product lifecycle: requirements definition through specification, design, deployment/coding, quality assurance, implementation, integration, launch, and production support with Brand, supplier, and end customer usability in mind. Synthesize requirements underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet timelines. Write functional and test specifications, coordinate efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features. Clarify, prioritize and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain chains of accountability. Break down work into logical function groupings to enable the team to deliver. Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit. Effectively manage customer expectations and resolve conflicts. Mentor junior employees and build program and product teams. Position involves management of direct reports. May telecommute. Position requires travel. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout U.S. and internationally. Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Program Management-related occupation. Position requires: 1. HTML, JavaScript, Python, TestRail, Apache JMeter, SoapUI, and Amazon Webservices; 2. Unix, SQL, VMWare, Microsoft SQL Server, GitHub, Windows servers, Load Balancers, Webservers, and Applications servers; 3. Atlassian Confluence, Mingle, Miro, and Trello; 4. Tableau, Splunk, Microsoft PowerBI, and DataDog; 5. Atlassian Jira; and, 6. Figma and Fluid UI. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
