Fuel Talent LLC Linux Systems Administrator in Seattle, Washington

Role Summary: The Linux Systems Administrator plays a key role in maintaining and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure, with a primary focus on Linux systems administration and automation. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT operations through best practices in system configuration, compliance, and cloud integration. The position requires a mix of onsite presence in Seattle and remote work as part of a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Linux environments, with secondary support for Windows Server systems.
  • Implement and manage automation and configuration management tools (Ansible preferred).
  • Ensure compliance by gathering and presenting audit evidence, maintaining system security, and following industry best practices.
  • Support cloud and on-prem infrastructure, including Azure, AWS, and VMware environments.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Assist in infrastructure-as-code initiatives and process automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement enterprise technology strategies.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide system support as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of IT experience in system administration, with a focus on Linux.
  • Strong Linux administration skills; familiarity with Windows Server is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT environments, including cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Strong attention to detail for compliance, security, and audit documentation.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Ansible, Agile methodologies, and DevOps best practices.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and IT process improvements.
  • Experience in enterprise monitoring and performance optimization.

Work Location:

  • Hybrid role with onsite requirements in Seattle.
