Helpdesk/IT Support Technician – Seattle, WA

Kelly Services is looking for an IT Services Technician to support our Healthcare clients innovative research programs and mission.


  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.

  • Answer users' inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems.

  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems to ensure they run at optimum efficiency.

  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.

  • Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.

  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and support.

  • Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.

  • Develop training materials and procedures, and/or train users in the proper use of hardware and software.

  • Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.


  • AA in information systems OR 3+ years of experience in an information systems job role.

  • Excellent computer skills on a variety hardware and software products.

  • Possess a work ethic that includes neatness, punctuality, and accuracy.

  • Thorough knowledge of hardware and software pertaining to the handling, logging, inventory of computer equipment and software.

  • Ensure that all job responsibilities are performed and documented accurately, timely, and in compliance with standards.

  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills. Flexibility in performing multiple tasks.

  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to maintain comprehensible and accurate records.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to motivate self.

  • Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail and in an organized manner.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Ability to work with co-workers and outside agencies professionally and tactfully.
