Amazon Global Badging Manager, Amazon Corporate Security in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Amazon Corporate Security (ACS) Team is looking for a Global Badging Manager who will work across global teams to ensure the best possible customer experience as it relates to the badging, access management and visitor management. The Global Badging Manager leads a large team to manage physical access and badging at Amazon Corporate Offices. A successful candidate will be able to drive global initiatives while coordinating with business partners to provide best in-class experience to all badged associates while raising the security bar for the programs they manage.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement corporate badging standards, polices, and best practices.

  • Develop close partnerships with Security Managers, Facility Management, HR, Investigations, Physical/Technical Security, Legal, Global Procurement, and Global I.T.

  • Provide escalation support for badging, access management and visitor management.

  • Annual Forecasting and Budgeting for the badging, access management and visitor management programs.

  • Working with your finance partners perform day to day procurement and budget control activities

  • Work with partners to drive operational excellence and consistency for the Global Badging programs.

  • Oversee the development, implementation, support and auditing of global programs.

  • Streamline processes and innovate to improve the customer experience at various touchpoints within the badging, access management and visitor experiences.

  • Coordinate with partners to seek diverse opinions to make informed decisions.

  • Ability to solve complex problems and create scalable solutions.

  • Manage business and executive-level escalations, including reporting to senior-level leadership

  • Monitor the team’s adherence to service level agreements (SLA) as well as the customer satisfaction after interactions with the badging team.

A day in the life

  • Provide leadership, direction, vision, support and business requirements for major initiatives being executed by your and partner teams

  • Respond to escalations in the security / badging / access management space at ACS and partner groups

  • Mentor and provide support to team members with an emphasis on the managers and supervisors on the team

  • Get your hands dirty on the day to day functions only a blue badge can do - process POs and invoices, provide VPN access, approve software releases, authorize expenses, maintain the budget, check inventory levels and generate data and metrics to support business decisions for the senior ACS leadership team.

  • Monitor and react to the quality of service provided to our customers and effect change when needed (e.g. ensure staffing levels, training, coaching, communications )

About the team

The ACS Badge Office is a global team of over 100 contract professionals that manage and staff ( 24/7 ) a large centralized call center organization and in-person local badge offices across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The team includes specialists in training, project / program management, Business Intelligence, Operations execution and customer service delivery. We work closely with partner ACS organization like Investigations and the ACS Business Assurance Center and other security teams at Amazon to protect and secure the people and assets of Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects and programs across cross functional teams

  • 5+ years of experience working directly with engineering, development, infrastructure and customer support teams

  • 4+ years professional experience in hiring and growing individuals and global teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical discussions

  • Proven leadership, teamwork and exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to interpret data to drive business decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in program, product management or a related function

  • Experience with access control, visitor and access management systems and best practices

  • Experience with AGILE or other program management methodologies

  • Experience with AWS Cloud technologies, finance operations and logistics management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $95,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
