What We Need: We are looking for a Global Account Manager to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team. This is a remote position with considerable travel expected. Ideal candidate will be located in the western United States. The Global Account Manager will champion the direct selling efforts focused on securing new strategic/global accounts while further expanding market share within an assigned client base by leveraging the extensive resources of the collective organization. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders, dealer partners, and outside influencers. What You Will Do: Build value and market share by engaging identified global accounts with multi-location, typically Fortune 1000 organizations. Utilize strong business acumen to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for each identified account while continually monitoring progress against goals through ongoing account planning sessions with actionable single sales objectives. Lead, motivate, and sustain positive working relationships with cross-functional teams to drive business growth in identified new business strategic global accounts as well as expanding business within existing account base. Engage and build relationships with client decision-makers to develop an understanding of their business goals, introduce client leadership to the value of HNI, and deliver a tailored solution and service package based on the client's business and real estate objectives. Work in unison with internal HNI stakeholders in developing client/HNI buying programs to influence the client's ecosystem worldwide, expanding HNI's presence beyond North America where applicable. Demonstrate leadership with dealers, HNI corporate resources, HNI field sales, and specifiers (i.e. CRE and A&D firms) to help educate and guide on the proper execution of programs in place for contracted accounts. Work with HNI's respective local business unit field sales teams (i.e. Gunlocke, HBF, Allsteel, HON, Maxon), call on client locations in North America and educate the client on the value of the HNI ONE program. Manage and co-develop client relationships with HNI International, HNI India, and HNI Lamex teams for key global accounts outside North America. Ensure detailed, timely, and accurate forecasting via SalesForce.com for all global account opportunities, helping to drive optimal efficiencies in the Sales and Operations planning process for HNI. Meet yearly sales goals as assigned. Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization. What You Have: Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business or related field preferred. At least 5 years of relevant experience required; 7 years of experience preferred. What You're Good At: Advanced understanding and SME in Sales and or business development with a focus on workplace required. Proven Experience in contract furnishings sales, facility management, interior design, or construction required. Working knowledge of CRMs along with the understanding of various functions within a world class manufacturer required. Demonstrated history of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including but not limited to creating and delivering presentations to a wide audience, writing reports, meeting facilitation, and ability to solicit participation in the exchange of information required.
