Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
You will be operating a large 20k forklift in the back of the yard to move master coils of metal that weigh between 20-25k lbs and are around 48 inches wide. You will be stacking them, wrapping them, and doing some inventory of the coils to ensure stock stays full. Most of the work will be on a forklift, with tasks both outside and inside. Be prepared for cold winters and hot summers. Strong forklift skills are essential.
Responsibilities
Operate a large 20k forklift to move master coils of metal.
Stack and wrap metal coils.
Perform inventory of coils to ensure stock levels are maintained.
Work both outdoors and indoors, adapting to varying weather conditions.
Handle different types of metals and materials.
Essential Skills
Strong forklift operation skills.
Experience with a 20k forklift.
Ability to move large coils and handle metal and drywall materials.
Knowledge of inventory management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of different types of metals.
Experience with material handling, picking, and loading.
Proficiency in sit-down forklift operations.

Work Environment
The work environment includes both outdoor and indoor settings, primarily outdoors. It is a heavy industrial setting in a small, family-owned company where the owner and his son are present. There is also a store front attached where people can pick up materials.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
