Accolade's summer internship program runs June 10th-August 16th. This is a hybrid role working from our Seattle, WA Office. Hourly pay rate is set at $22/hour. Role overview: The Marketing & Events Intern is responsible for working closely with the Marketing, Sales and Business Development teams to support Accolade's mission of reinventing the healthcare experience and delighting members. This individual will support events planning and execution for industry conferences, regional sponsorships and Accolade-hosted events to drive sales opportunities and lead generation. A day in the life... Event management: • Research and evaluate potential industry, regional and Accolade-hosted events focused on driving lead generation and sales opportunities; provide event recommendations to leadership • Support a project manager to help plan, produce, lead and execute events; requires close cross-functional partnerships • Develop event plans, overviews and materials, including pre-and post-event follow-up plans • Support the definition and creation of event goals and processes to ensure cross-functional alignment, event success and streamline effectiveness • Expertly drive pre-event meetings, including ownership of event planning documentation • Manage event calendars and project timelines • Conduct post-event analysis to understand the ROI; review findings and develop recommendations for leadership to drive event plans in subsequent quarters and years • Support campaign execution, including list management and segmentation, e-mail creation and distribution, and content as it pertains to events • Maintain effective relationships with multiple vendor partners; coordinate project details, productions timelines, cost estimates, and final deliverables • Build and distribute regular pre-event status reports and post-event trip report • Work closely with Field Operations to achieve business goals via event marketing • Support departmental operations, such as entering/cataloging vendor invoices • Co-manage Customer Onsite Events process and execution • Own vendor relations with The Standard Group and Skyline and collaborate to develop an effective and streamlined plan for event logistics • Support in staffing commercial and customer onsite events What we are looking for... • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business/Marketing/Communications, Design or technology-related field • 2 years of experience working on marketing or business initiatives or campaigns, whether in school or in a business environment • Demonstrated success in event management and project management preferraly in a corporate setting or sales related field • Understanding of email marketing system concepts; experience in marketing automation or email marketing
