Overview TRC is seeking a Director for its Advanced Energy Solutions group to be a solution development subject matter expert (SME) for our business development team and multiple utility energy programs throughout the western United States. The ideal candidate will be assertive, personable, and a self-starter with the capacity to manage multiple tasks working under the guidance of the Vice President and other regional leads. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with internal team members and external customers. The ideal candidate will understand clients and programs needs and have the technical and management acumen to remove barriers and drive the teams toward solutions as needed. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, have strong communication and customer service skills, and the capacity to handle multiple urgent priorities. Program support will include communication, business strategy, solution development, process development, training, budget and scheduling, policy and procedures, resource planning, and more. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the energy landscape and relationships to help drive innovative solutions to push forth program goals. A hands-on approach combined with program management knowledge is desired to push the team to achieve their goals. Previous experience with utility clients, energy efficiency, demand management, building performance principles and best practices, working with end-users (residential, commercial, industrial) and program implementation is highly desirable. Responsibilities * Program solution development and improvements/enhancements. * SME client presentations in support of business development and program teams. * Lead/participate in client/stakeholder meetings, program design, process development, operational procedures, and training activities. * Client relationship management from pre-positioning, contract award, start-up, implementation hand-off, and periodic program enhancements. * Collaborate with program managers and business developers to support a wide variety of program offerings and "cross-selling" opportunities. * Represent TRC at industry events for networking and thought leadership. * Support Vice President and other regional leads with business strategy and strategic deployment priorities. * Represent TRC Advanced Energy group as the company of choice in front of our colleagues and competition. Qualifications Minimum Requirements * Eligibility to work in the United States. * Ability to travel 10-20% to visit territory, clients or industry events. * Bachelor's degree in planning, environmental science, sustainability, business, management or related fields. * 14+ years of relevant program implementation or lar
