Hourly Rate: $20.00

Position Summary:

Full-time Customer Service Representative (CSR) position available for our Seattle Managed Care office. To qualify for this position you must be bilingual in English/Spanish, 

The CSR is responsible for screening all noninsured patients and ensuring that customers newly assigned or wishing to obtain care at Sea Mar are accommodated. The CSR provides public health coverage enrollment assistance, insurance education, and public health coverage case management. Under the direction of the Managed Care Regional Manager, the CSR pro-actively contacts customers, assists in the development and distribution of promotional material and engages in community outreach activities. Applicant must maintain a valid Washington Driver’s license with automobile liability insurance coverage if hired.

Requirements and/or Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • AA or BA in Social Services is preferred.

  • 1 year of customer service experience is required; preferably in a health care environment.

  • Proficient in both WORD and EXCEL and in general computer use.

  • Must be able to effectively utilize data processing and spreadsheet computer software programs and experience in databases is preferred.

  • Consistently demonstrates patience and excellent customer service skills in the performance of all duties.

  • Must possess good organizational and time management skills, demonstrate good judgment, excellent problem-solving abilities and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

  • Legible handwriting required.

  • This person must be of good character and maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Must be self-motivated and have excellent work ethics, including the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

  • Must consistently demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to read and write proficiently in both English and Spanish.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required; Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and staff in either English or Spanish both orally and written.
