Amazon Business Intelligence Engineer, ASTA Analytics in Seattle, Washington

ASTA Analytics support Worldwide Amazon Store Talent Acquisition (WWAS TA) on all things data infrastructure, reporting, and insights. ASTA Analytics is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to partner with WWAS TA's Central Diversity Team (CDIT) and support the curation, automation, and development of Diversity-related datasets and reporting products. Your contributions will be instrumental WWAS TA's ability to track to and achieve various diverse hiring goals and initiatives. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, have a strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be driven by a desire to innovate in this space.

Key job responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly reports and dashboards

• Collaborate with partnering program owners to understand requirements and translate them into data and reporting solutions.

• Work closely with data engineering, product management, BIEs, Data Scientists and stakeholders to deliver features to customers

• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis through data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.

  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
