Amazon Business Analyst, Perfect Order Experience Economics (POE-Econ) in Seattle, Washington
Description
The POE Econ Team build economic solutions to enable Selling Partner Services (and Amazon) teams to optimize the Return of Investment (ROI) at program or decision level. Specifically, we build scalable economic solutions in three areas (1) Impact and Perception Measurement which measures the long-term impacts of our actions and initiatives, and quantifies the relative importance of drivers of impacts to aid business’ investment and prioritization decisions; (2) Innovation Insight Service for estimating potential long-term impacts of new products/features based on pre-launch or short-term experimental/dial-up data to enable teams to evaluate innovations at ideation or experimental phases; (3) Impact-based Decision Optimization: optimize real-time decisions (e.g., enforcement and support) based on long-term impacts to diverse Customers including buyers, SPs, and brand owners etc.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a passion for using data to solve business problems and inform decisions. You will work with a group of Economists and Scientists and directly contribute to the economic projects with high visibility. You will grow into a role as the go-to person who will establish and own the data usage related best practice for data driven analysis.
The perfect candidate will have a passion for knowing data, analyzing data, and using that knowledge to prepare input data for economic projects, driving key insights and recommendations. As a business analyst you will also build reports and metrics, drive ad-hoc analysis and communicate insights to key stakeholders. You will not only execute on the required skills but also be able to influence, educate, and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Key job responsibilities
· Support Economists and Scientists to conduct economic analysis through retrieving, merging, and cleaning data
· Build and maintain recurring metrics and reports
· Complete ad hoc data retrieval and analysis using relational databases, Excel and other data management systems
· Monitor existing metrics, develop and propose new metrics, and identify new, actionable risk signals
· Effectively communicate insights to key stakeholders through both written and verbal communication

Basic Qualifications
Experience with SQL
2+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
2+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
Experience with Excel
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business or analytical discipline
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
