Amazon Associate Merchandising Manager - Amazon Fresh Grocery Stores (New York or Seattle) in Seattle, Washington

Amazon Fresh is a new grocery store designed from the ground up to offer a seamless grocery shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in store or online. We’ve also introduced new ways to make grocery shopping more convenient, including Just Walk Out technology and the Amazon Dash Cart, which enables customers to skip the checkout line, and new Alexa features to help customers manage their shopping lists and better navigate our aisles.

We’re looking for a motivated and talented Associate Merchandising Manager with customer focus, analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit to join the merchandising team. You will help execute, and deliver on detailed plans and timelines, and communicate to leadership on status, risks, and process changes. You will need to thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, and fast-paced business environment, operating across multiple teams and levels in the organization.

The ideal candidate will have customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and maintain the planograms across multiple categories throughout the year.

  • Identify and implement process improvements and opportunities for innovation and simplification in planograms and merchandising processes.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external partners, while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Act as the ‘business owner’, possessing a thorough understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business.

  • Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of analytic tools

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in merchandising, space optimization, and/or store planning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Blue Yonder (JDA) software, and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $48,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $116,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
