The Harborview Medical Center Emergency Services Department has an outstanding opportunity for an ADMINISTRATIVE - PAYROLL SPECIALIST Work Schedule

  • 100% FTE

  • 100% Onsite POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Assists in activities around interdepartmental initiatives and projects that span across UW Medicine entities such as with the UWM Emergency Management planning as well as department specific Emergency Department initiatives

  • Acts as payroll coordinator for 200+ employees and provides high-level administrative support and coordination for PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as Payroll Coordinator for the department

  • Act as the primary liaison between the units and the payroll department

  • Leave Management

  • Provides administrative, program, and project support to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer/Assistant Administrator Emergency Services, Chief Health Professional Practitioner (Chief CRNA), Manager Emergency Services and Manager Emergency Preparedness and Safety (EOC)

  • As the frontline contact for the Administrators, provides exemplary professional customer relations consistent with UW Medicine service excellence standards

  • Supports the Administrators in managing their calendars and arranging and preparing for meetings. This includes complex scheduling requests, coordinating room/media resources, identifying and as needed researching information for meetings

  • Manages the design and content of department-specific intranet websites, drafts intranet communication materials, frequently creates email communications for distribution lists, etc., manages divisions’ listservs, creates and maintains other listservs as needed REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three years of experience providing administrative support in the area of fiscal and/or business management, or equivalent education/experience.
