Chaplain

Per Diem (PRN)

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120-bed facility will offer specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions.

Description:

The Chaplain functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients depending on which unit worked. The chaplain utilizes clinical and pastoral skills to asst the treatment team in giving care to patients. Special focus is given to developing the religious resources of each patient in the healing process.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Education: Degree from an accredited college or university in Biblical or Religious counseling/studies preferred.

Experience: Past experience in pastoral or ministry field required. One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness and chemical dependency (12 step program) preferred.

Licensure: Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion CPR certification. May be required to work flexible hours

Valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance or ability to obtain
