Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer in Schneider, Indiana, 46376, United States. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the system's infrastructure, ensuring its efficient functioning. The role involves working on Linux system administration, virtualization and containerization, hardware, automation/scripting, and database management.

Responsibilities:

• Work on Linux system administration, ensuring efficient functioning of the system.

• Handle virtualization and containerization processes using tools such as KVM, Docker.

• Work with hardware such as SuperMicro servers, Cisco switches, and maintain their efficiency.

• Develop and execute automation and scripting processes for system optimization.

• Monitor and manage the system infrastructure using tools like Prometheus.

• Work on networking aspects including Cisco, VPN, Firewalls for secure and efficient data transfer.

• Manage database and SQL using PostgreSQL, ensuring data accuracy and security.

• Maintain a home office or similar type of quiet workspace for focused work.

• Learn and adapt to new technologies for continuous improvement of the system's performance.

• Utilize skills in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Database, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, AB Testing, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management for system development and management. Requirements • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies

• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies

• Proficient in database management

• Experience with Dell Technologies

• Understanding of EO/IR systems

• Ability to perform AB Testing

• Experience in Active Directory

• Knowledge of Backup Technologies

• Comfortable with Computer Hardware
