Guthrie Pharmacy Cashier- Clinic Pharmacy - Per Diem in Sayre, Pennsylvania

Position Summary: Greets the high volume of patients using the pharmacy. Determines patient needs and facilitates the correct process to meet those needs. Processes sales through the pharmacy software system. Education, License & Cert: High school graduate or GED required. A valid driver’s license is required. Experience: Minimum 6 months of recent cash register experience and proficiency with data entry/typing. Essential Functions: 1) Accurately delivers completed prescriptions or product to patient and collects/processes payments in cash register. 2) Assists patients and answers phone with attention to customer service 3) Assists in performing over‐the‐counter (OTC)inventory functions including stock replenishment, removing expired/recalled items, and ensuring pricing integrity. 4) Enter patient demographic and insurance information into pharmacy software system quickly and accurately. 5) Communicates to other staff any information that is necessary for ensuring the effective operation of the pharmacy. 6) Delivers prescriptions as needed to off‐site locations in adjacent clinics or hospital. Operation of a Guthrie owned vehicle may be required for other local deliveries. 7) Assists in all facets of regulatory compliance and performs duties according to policy and procedures of the department.
