    Qualifications

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collection of all admission and routine work through venipuncture

  • Acts as liaison between Black Bear Lodge and the laboratory to ensure completion of all requested services.

  • Maintains the inventory of supplies necessary for all assigned work by communicating with Lead Medical Assistant.

  • Meets timeliness expectations of completing work as scheduled, demonstrating self-paced performance and adjusting priorities as needed.

  • Cross-trains and supports other areas of the nursing department as needed or requested by supervisor.

  • Obtain vital signs on patients

  • Perform chart audits

  • Facilitates outside appointments

  • Filing

  • Obtain medical records as directed by provider

  • Direct patients to daily physician appointments

  • Answer phone

  • Perform waive testing and transfer results to appropriate chart

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by charge nurse

  • Perform Observation rounds

    Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or Certified or Registered Preferred
