We are currently seeking a Truscan Field Technician to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

This role is a key technical resource in rolling out, running and supporting our field-deployable XRF-analysis and core photography system. This role will often require working rosters that align with end user requirements and is suited to a Core Shed Technician, Driller, or Driller’s Assistant with experience in the marking, measuring and orientation of drill core.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Field experience working on a drill rig; mining or exploration core facility (highly desirable)

  • Understanding of handling and logging core samples (desirable)

  • Excellent customer service orientation and ability to maintain relationships with key account customers and internal team.

  • Demonstrated interest in digital technologies and new innovations

  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written

  • Attention to detail and strong initiative

  • Proficient in MS Office suite

  • A current drivers’ license

  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills (desirable)

  • 4WD and Senior First Aid (desirable)

  • Ability to work on a varied roster

Responsibilities

  • Understanding how to operate and trouble shoot our field-deployable electronic equipment

  • Operation and training in the use of geophysical analytical equipment in a field environment

  • Training of client field technicians to safely and efficiently operate our field deployable analytical technologies

  • Contributing and supporting training documentation creation

  • Basic trouble shooting of technical and practical use issues tied to analytical equipment

  • Providing reports and feedback on trouble shooting issues and cases

  • Travel regularly within the Asia Pacific region, including on short notice, to fulfil the above responsibilities.
