We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate and improve upon existing manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will assist operations management and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems. You will produce and maintain support documentation to control processes and costs while maintaining quality, including manufacturing work instructions, time studies, and machinery or related equipment as needed.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes.
Assist operations management and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems.
Produce and maintain support documentation to control processes and costs while maintaining quality.
Plan and implement process engineering activities for new product development and current product support.
Facilitate smooth transition of projects from Engineering to Manufacturing, including analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, equipment layout, work instructions, and preventative maintenance procedures.
Justify new or replacement tooling, machines, and equipment. Prepare capital authorization requests and manage installation and start-up.
Act as a training person for specialized processes.
Assist and support in environmental, health, and safety programs.
Assist and support plant and facility maintenance.
Provide make vs. buy analysis and standard cost estimates.
Create and maintain shop floor routings.
Write detailed test plans for process deviations.
Create rework work orders for the shop floor.
Utilize the latest SolidWorks 3D solid modeling software for fixture and tooling design.
Read and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Essential Skills
5 - 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
Assembly and/or welding experience
ERP systems knowledge
CAD proficiency
Experience in data analysis, cost analysis, and time studies
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D solid modeling software
Ability to read and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
Experience in process engineering and lean manufacturing
Work Environment
This is an onsite position where you will work closely with one other engineer daily and oversee one of the new manufacturing lines. The role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. You will be part of a team with low turnover and a great brand within St. Cloud.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
