As a Stormwater Crew Leader, you coordinate the utility work for operations, maintenance, and installation of the potable and reclaimed water distribution. Participate on all phases of work in drainage maintenance, construction and repair.
Perform manual labor tasks.
Responsible for maintaining equipment and assisting in coordinating equipment to be used on the job.
Give subordinates instructions on difficult problems and assignments.
Personally operates various types of equipment in work assignments as necessary.
Inspect equipment and make determination on the job site of how to utilize equipment and personnel in the absence of the Supervisor.
Instruct subordinates in safety practices and proper procedures for work assignment.
Keep subordinates informed of policies, procedures, work assignments, and insures instructions are followed.
Work Hours:
40- hours per week
Tuesday – Friday
6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
*On-Call Required
About You
Minimum Qualifications :
A High School Diploma or its equivalent.
One year of experience in operations, maintenance, and construction.
A valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire.
Must acquire Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker “N” endorsement at the time of hire.
Physical Demands: Must frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay: $22.62 (Step 1)
Potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.
