Hilton Finance Assistant in Sao Paulo, Brazil

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What will I be doing?

You will analyze, account, close, and process payments and perform the accounts payable closing (aging, payment receipts), handle general accounting entries; tax accounting; assist in the hotel closing process, handle all currency exchange processing; allocation of international payments (Affiliates); Blackline; general provisions; and new projects.

Essential Functions

Average Percentage of Time

  • 50% - Accounting
  • 30% - Accounts Payable
  • 20% - Others

In addition to performing the essential functions, this position may perform a combination of the following supporting functions:

  • Issue the necessary reports for accounts payable processing
  • Process payments for domestic and international invoices
  • Process payments outside the planned schedule date (urgent payments)
  • Analyze and record product and service invoices in the accounting system
  • Assist in the collection of withheld taxes by updating tax control spreadsheets
  • Account reclassifications, tax adjustments and other necessary corrections identified
  • Execute monthly closing routines for the supported hotels (E.g. Deferred, Hilton Honors, HRCC, Affiliate invoice (accrual/allocation), Bad Debt, and others)
  • Perform Blackline reconciliations
  • Keep the SharePoint documents updated
  • Safeguard and archive definitive payment receipts for the companies' monthly payments
  • Safeguard and archive definitive journals generated within the month for the companies
  • Safeguard and archive the aging report at the end of the month after analysis and signature of the DOF from the hotels under their responsibility
  • Participate in task force at the hotels

OTHER DUTIES

  • Lean into the Hilton Family culture and demonstrate knowledge of the job and service standards
  • Cross-functional collaboration by temporarily performing another role within the department, as required by the supervisor

  • Basic understanding of computerized financial systems and the ability to use them
  • Office equipment: operate computer, printer, copier, e-mail, telephone, and scanner
  • Demonstrate empathy with the client, and provide positive, proactive solutions
  • Maintain an open line of communication between clients, team members, and management

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience in the accounting field
  • Intermediate knowledge of English
  • Intermediate knowledge of Spanish
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools
