UL, LLC Líder de Operações de Telecomunicações in SAO JOSE DOS CAMPOS, Brazil
We are looking for an Operations Leader to oversee and coordinate a team of 8–10 experienced professionals based in São Paulo. This is a hybrid role, requiring in-person presence at the São Paulo office three times per week.
This high-visibility position is part of a global team and plays a critical role both within and outside the organization, working with cutting-edge wireless technologies. The primary focus of the role is to provide technical leadership, collaborate with regulatory bodies (such as Anatel), and drive profitable global market access and new service expansion.
The ideal candidate will also support customers in navigating emerging technology needs—particularly in sectors like batteries and electronics—helping them stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Responsible for customer service and delivery of projects and programs for areas of responsibility.
Serves as Project Lead or Reviewer on complete test programs covering all testing technologies as assigned. Communicates project status and results to clients and sales through frequent contact.
Holds responsibility for defining project scope, test plan, report review and accuracy, meeting of agreed deadlines, and managing project related activities.
Studies and understands test standards, testing technology, and regulations for scope of responsibility. May represent UL at industry related functions such as seminars, trade shows or standards committees.
Serves as the SME for local office and key customers for standards, industry and certification programs. Has detailed understanding of test techniques, procedures, and equipment.
Manages training to support needed capacity and quality of testing. Follows up on contacts from clients and communicates technical issues, Test Standard explanations, certification requirements and UL procedures and requirements. Acts to address client concerns and resolve issues for the local office. Ensures proper communication and support of the customer needs from the team.
Supports Sales staff to determine project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction for the local office. Communicates project status and results to clients and sales through frequent contact.
Manage the team staff
Responsible for GMA Revenue production for area of responsibility and cost management of the team. Takes actions to adjust or manage costs as necessary.
Likely to support the business externally through travelling to meetings at client sites, attendance at industry related events and other meetings.
University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an accredited program plus generally ten years of directly related work experience or equivalent education and experience.
Fluent in English language.
Actively collaborating with regulator bodies through their working groups and/or technical committees.
