Robert Half Accounting Manager in Santa Monica, California
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Santa Monica, California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the investment management and private equity sector, contributing to the preparation and review of financial statements, investor reports, and fund-level analyses. Responsibilities:
• Prepare annual audited financial statements and related tax schedules to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Generate quarterly unaudited financial statements for review by stakeholders.
• Assist in creating detailed quarterly investor capital account statements.
• Analyze and review investment holdings, including cost, valuations, capital activities, and unrealized gains or losses.
• Monitor and review fund-level expenses and income to maintain financial accuracy.
• Address investor inquiries promptly and provide clear, detailed responses.
• Develop ad hoc reports and perform specialized financial analyses as required.
• Contribute to special projects by providing accounting expertise and support as needed. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is required.
• 4-7 years of fund accounting experience, preferably in investment management or private equity.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Advanced analytical abilities and proficiency in Excel are required.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills are a must.
• Must be a collaborative team player, self-driven, and demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
• CPA license (active or inactive) or candidacy is preferred.
• Background in public accounting, ideally with Big-4 experience, is highly desirable.
